Our stay at the Domes was simply divine. 5 star excellence with spacious and elegant accommodation, in beautiful surroundings with attentive staff and lots to keep our kids busy.
When we arrived were greeted by one of the managers who came outside the hotel to personally meet us and make sure we had people to carry our luggage. On arrival to our beautifully furnished room we were given an explanation of how everything worked, from the 3 TVs, kitchenette, coffee machine, air con and how to call for any assistance. An extra bed (camp bed) has been placed in the second bedroom for our third son.
The resort is quite hilly but there were golf buggies on hand to whizz you across the quite sprawled out resort.
We also had access to the Haute lounge that provided complimentary tea, coffee, juice, beer and prosecco and snacks throughout the day.
The children’s pool has a gradual incline to the deep end and was cover by a large canopy to shelter us from the hot sun. It was not too deep and perfect for young children. Pool attendants were on hand to prepare our sun loungers and bring us towels and drinks or snacks if required.
There was a kids club but it was quite young and my 4 and 5 year olds were not keen on hanging around with all the toddlers which seemed to be in there. It didn’t seem very busy, but maybe that was because it was the end of the school holidays….For the older children (I think over 7) there was a huge ‘cool’ area with pool tables, a massive football-snooker area, old skool arcade computers and there was one wall with a row of all the latest games consoles with big TV screens mounted on the wall with cool game-console reclining chairs, my boys LOVED this area.
There was also a football session for kids every morning which we attended and boys loved. This would take place on one of the tennis courts with spectacular views over the coast line.
The restaurants were very accommodating and we as a family were made to feel very welcome. There were amazing (non naff) buffets but the chefs were happy to make alternate things for the kids if needed (plain pasta please on the Asian food night).
There was a baby sitting service available, but we didn’t need to use it as coming home to sit by our pool with a glass of wine was a lovely treat.
It never felt like there was too many people around or we were in a kiddie resort even though children were well catered for.
I’d recommend Domes to anyone who would like a luxurious holiday with spacious accommodation and there still being lots for the children to do.
