We had the pleasure of staying at the JW Marriott in Phuket a few years back. Friends introduced us to the hotel, who regularly stay there still today. I can totally see why they did..

The hotel is a short drive from the Phuket airport and the hotel provides a complementary resort shuttle service from the airport which worked great for our family.
The suite that we stayed in was spacious to say the least. It had two bedrooms, a lounge and a kitchen, as well as a large balcony looking over the beautiful gardens. The suite gave us plenty of room to be able to relax together as a family, and the kitchenette was ideal for us at the time, when we were deep in the world of toddler feeding schedules.
The view from outside our suite:
The facilities at the JW Marriott in Phuket are stunning. The baby elephants around the pool were a particular hit with our family, as well as the beautiful pristine sand of the beach right next to the resort. There were plenty of shallow areas for smaller children, which we took full use of when we were there. There is also a kids club should you want to use it over your stay.
The evenings at JW Marriott don’t disappoint either. There is a great selection of restaurants and bars. But our standout one was the Thai restaurant – Ginja Taste Restaurant. It is located a short walk away from the main hotel and served the most delicious thai food in a truly unique atmosphere.
To top the experience off, there is the Mandara Spa. An incredibly relaxing spa experience. I must say, there is nothing quite as relaxing as an authentic thai massage.
I would strongly recommend JW Marriott for families visiting Thailand. And with so many beautiful beaches on offer in Phuket and the surrounding islands, it’s a holiday truly for the memory books.
